The collection consists of nine items, including: five signed, typewritten letters from Anna Kavan to Derek Gardner, her sometime agent, undated [1956?], discussing various publishing concerns; two letters to Gardner from Scorpion Press, 24 April 1962 and 24 March 1962, both discussing the details of publishing Anna Kavan's novella, Who are you? Also, outline of a proposal for a novel by Anna Kavan, Who are you?, with evaluation of publication possibilities, presumably by a reader for eventual publisher Scorpion Press; typescript of a review of Anna Kavan's novel, A scarcity of love, by Edwin Muir in the Observer, 22 July 1956, titled Among the lost. The review is guardedly positive, and includes a handwritten response by Anna Kavan.
